Our Founder

David Siemer is the founder of Siemer & Associates, Inc., a firm specializing in online media and technology Investment Banking. Siemer was previously with Montgomery & Co. where he served as a key member of the Digital Media Investment Banking Group. At Montgomery, Siemer led sales to major media companies such as News Corp, Sony, Hearst, Viacom, and Disney, and managed private investments from tier one venture capital and hedge fund firms.

Prior to his work with Montgomery, Siemer spent eight years at Desco Corporation. In 1997, Siemer joined Desco Capital Partners, the venture capital arm, where he analyzed early stage software, online media, and biotech opportunities. Investments made during his tenure included Total Control Products, sold to GE; Conquest Communications, sold to SmarTalk (now a division of AT&T); Enact Software, sold to Sage SalesLogix.

In 2000, Siemer duties were expanded to Desco Corporation's business development group, where he participated in and led several acquisitions, including MDT Software, Emergitech, Medical Indicators, Inc., Tek-Air Systems, Alnor Sensors, and Diversified Electronics. In 2003, Siemer was appointed to Director of Operations of Marsh Bellofram Instrumentation with the oversight of 110 employees. In this role, Siemer successfully launched Desco's first Chinese manufacturing facility and opened foreign sales offices in the United Kingdom and India.

Siemer received his MBA in Finance and Economics from the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business, graduating with high honors. He completed his undergraduate work at Lehigh University with degrees in Management Information Systems and Accounting.

Our Team

Sundeep Chanana. Senior Associate. Mr. Chanana was previously with Jefferies & Company, Inc. where he focused on Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity, Debt and Hybrid Instrument Financings, and Restructurings for middle-market companies in the Media, Technology & Telecommunication, Consumer, Business Services and CleanTech sectors. At Jefferies, Mr. Chanana managed all facets of deal execution for companies such as PayByTouch, ProtoStar, Adelphia Communications, Westport Innovations, IdleAire, and American Apparel. Mr. Chanana graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley with a concentration in Finance.

Janine Bush. Marketing and Business Development. Ms. Bush was previously at HighView Media where she was responsible for Marketing and Business Development. Prior to HighView Media, Ms. Bush worked at leading technology and consumer products companies including Activision, Universal Music Group, Mattel and Candle. Ms. Bush has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and a M.A. from the University of Minnesota.

Ravi Iyer. Technology Analyst. Mr. Iyer is a 12 year veteran of the internet technology industry. He began his career as an IT database consultant to companies like Goldman Sachs, Ogilvy & Mather, and America Online. He then worked for 2 years in the European E-Commerce division of Compaq GmbH, before branching out to new media/internet based companies. He has been involved in all phases of the development lifecycle, including product conception, program architecture, data modeling, data mining, user interface integration, search engine optimization, offshore outsourcing, and ongoing website maintenance & promotion. He led development efforts from conception to profitability for the Almighty Institute of Music Retail and VoteHelp. He has served as an advisor to numerous other successful projects, including eCrush and MacRumors. Mr. Iyer has a B.A. from Columbia University and remains active in the web development community.
